GEORGETOWN MINISTRY CENTER

What began as a bake sale on the lawn of Grace Church has grown into the premier food and wine festival in Washington, D.C. to help raise both awareness and additional money to fund the homeless assistance programs of the Georgetown Ministry Center (GMC).

Founded in 1987, GMC assists clients off the street and into safe, secure housing. GMC provides many outreach services including psychiatric assistance. In 2004, the Georgetown Business Improvement District (Georgetown BID) stepped in to help organize and produce the event with its additional staff and resources, and has since raised more than $100,000 for GMC. Last year, the Taste of Georgetown showcased nearly 30 premier Georgetown restaurants, more than 60 cuisines, and more than 20 wines.

The Georgetown BID, GMC, Grace Church, and the rest of the Georgetown Community, hope that you will join us in our support of GMC together with the top chefs, foodies, wine lovers, and jazz enthusiasts of Georgetown.

You can support the efforts of GMC directly at GeorgetownMinistryCenter.org or call (202) 338-8301.
